Had a decent day of scouting in the 108 heat index

Unread postby Tennhunter3 » Sun Jul 19, 2015 10:09 am

The first area I scouted about 5 hours was pretty rough start to the morning 3 beds. Second area was a great find saw a beautiful. 130 inch buck running away from one of the beds. The bed heights were not quite where I expected them but once I found the right elevation for that area it started to click . Found some areas with no leaves that might be beds. And a bunch of old rubs . Thanks Dan for all the help tips at scouting workshop . ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Good catch n the rub. I have a hard time telling sometimes on cedar/pine if it's a run or the bark peeling. Sometimes obvious, sometimes not.

Nice. Be careful out there in the heat. It can be a life changer. A friend of mines son died of heat prostration. He was very fit and conditioned. He just didn't hydrate and his heart bucked. Be safe.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
