I got a picture of this buck on May 25th Memorial Day weekend.
I had seen a buck about a mile earlier which I thought had a substantial rack, but then saw this guy.
How does his rack compare at this time of the year from what you may have seen?

They are growing fast this time of the year. By the end of July they will be about done growing. But he does look to be ahead of the game.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

I wish I saw something that good now let alone two weeks ago.
I took these last night - the 14th.
Everything I have seen so far tells me it is going to be another somewhat below average antler development year in northeast Iowa thanks to another late spring. That makes three years in a row.
