Land of the Giants

Unread postby Singing Bridge » Fri Oct 22, 2010 2:09 am

I think many of us have a favorite hunting area, where we stand a chance at least of getting a better than average buck. I really enjoy escaping the heavy hunting pressure of MidMichigan once in a while. I'm packing and nearly gone for a scout of one such place, Northern Ontario- DIY. My primary areas I'm headed for are the bedding area of a Beast I previously located (really hoping he's still alive), and a couple of funnels. I have other errands to run, but you get the idea. Here's some pics of the region I'm headed for:

I'm running, he's in pursuit!

 I'd have no problem with that, seems there are some serious hunting Beasts from those parts... of course, I'd probably catch from Muddy!

My trip north is going to have to be adjusted... right before I hit the road I got a phone call you don't want to get. A relative of mine passed, someone I will miss dearly. Some things are more important than others.

Thanks, Hodag-

You're right, it really is God's country... there's no better way to describe it. 8-)

Thanks Liberty, and htt-

I'll be heading north soon enough, as long as no other challenges show their face along the way. I'll be relying a little more on previous scouting than I planned, but that's why we put the time in.
