In Michigan I have come across multiple buck beds that are in the same general location 30 to 60 yds apart like on a point or elevated area next to or out in a swamp. The bigger bed usually closer to the tip of the point. Buck beds are like great trout holes on your favorite trout river. If nothing changes they produce year after year. In 1989 (in hill country)I shot a 107" eight point ten feet from his bench bed on the backside of a large hill. The bench measures about 4x6 feet. As I write this post,there is a 130+ buck bedded on that very same bench. By late November ,depending on the amounts of snow,(and if I tag him) he will have that bed wore down to dirt just like last November.
