Hello Everyone, Here is a farm I have to hunt.
The top is the north, bottom is south, so a North Wind blows down to the creek.

Re: Bedding Area Help
Id start by hitting all major topo points, but narrow your search by looking for the thickest nastiest areas first. Look for blowdowns, brushpiles, etc...on those points= magic

Maps zoomed in a lot it's hard to tell. I am no expert on farmland. I would look for very thick areas. And check out the points.

I like the look of the point next to the 600 on the contour line. Pretty good vantage point there.

What I learned recently with Dan as my guide is how many subtle points there are not shown on a topo. We walked s ridge last weekend that had zero points shown...but had subtle point after subtle point in thick cover with beds and tracks galore. Start with the maps and get your boots on. Its the only way...but each scout is a lesson learned either one way or the other.

Great comment. Sometimes eliminating areas is also good.

Sometimes if your unsure its best to walk all the ridges right at the sharp drop off point... In Hoosiers case, I was eyeballing the thicker cover cause most of the ridges were to open with mature forest, which can be hard to tell from a topo or aerial... That said, the spots I marked in red are spots I would expect bedding...
