Not yours but the deers
I know large tracks are one of the best indicators of large bucks. But what's considered large poop? How do you know the poop is from a buck or a mature buck even?
I know small tic tac size poop would be probably young does or fawns. Larger jelly bean size would be grown doe. Are bucks always clumped? If so at how big would you consider the clump to be a decent or mature buck? Would a roll of quarters size be a smaller buck and a 50 cent piece diameter be mature buck?

I was counting on that. lol In all seriousness, I've been seeing an abundance or clumped droppings out in fields and in doe bedding. Some are small single quarter size clusters which I assume is a small yearling buck. I found some about the size of a quarter roll or .50 piece roll...or pecan log, twinkie whatever you wanna compare it too. Lol this was in the middle of my father in laws pasture accompanied with larger tracks. I assume it's a mature buck.

I consider anything bigger than a plum or peach to be worthwhile.

If I see droppings 3/4"-1" long it gets my attention. More often than not I find big buck sign nearby.

I know location will matter too. You guys up north with a 300lb mature deer will see a larger size than our typical 200lb or so mature animal.
What about clumps? Is that a sign of deer gender or diet?

Thanks Dewey.
In regards to my clumped question, this site http://bowsite.com/bowsite/features/armchair_biologist/poop/ says
" Whenever you find a clumped distribution of droppings, you are in very close proximity to one of two areas...the feeding or bedding area. Since bedding areas are always hard to locate and you don't want to push deer from their beds, feces can be a great asset to their location. "
