Is this book worth getting?

"Precision Bowhunting: A Year-Round Approach to Taking Mature Whitetails"

Does it have anything worth considering beyond what is preached & practiced here?

Any other suggestions?

Its a great book but there isn't any content outside the WWW. The anecdotal stories are entertaining regardless. If your considering tree saddle type hunting it is definitely worth reading as he goes in depth on the subject. He also spends quite a bit of time discussing primary scrape areas. You can choose to embrace or ignore his valuation of scent control and carbon-lined suits.

I read both of eberharts books when I first started getting really serious about taking nice bucks about 10 years ago. They are good books. I think this forum has better info for getting better bucks IMO.

Eberhart books are pretty good. Most of his tactics are rut related.

I've read two of Eberharts books, they are good. If the price is reasonable I say go for it. He knows how to hunt and has the bucks to prove it.

I read all of them years ago.looking back now they are pretty basic hunting knowledge. I would read bowhunting pressured whitetails and skip the rest. After reading the first one the others were almost the exact same information. It is one of the better hunting books. Mapping trophy whitetails is also a good book.

Agree! One of the only books I've actually read and went back through rereading sections to get a better handle on terrain and how deer use it.

big on scent control, scent drags, doesn't play the wind, mostly rut tactics..they obviously have a nice collection of bucks but wouldn't waste your time or money on them

definitely worth a read. one of his tactics he contributes a lot of his success to is setting up on the previous years rut sign, mainly primary scrape areas. I've seen his dvd's as well.

I would highly recommend their DVDs and books, I learned a ton from them. X2 on the mapping trophy whitetails book too.

I liked his DVD better than his books.
