Well I should say me to, I found beds last spring but did not get a chance to get my trees picked and prepped so it will be almost like going in blind, but I would love to see if the spots produce a buck even if I can't get a shot on him.

Are you talking about in season scouting or post season??

Yes I am looking very forward to some in season 'spot checking' and setting up on fresh sign. One of the most exciting ways to setup.

I plan on still-hunting through a lot of unfamiliar ground this year again, so that counts as scouting too. :D

I have been scouting a lot lately and will continue scouting for the remainder of deer season.

Scouting never stops. It is a year round even. I rarely look forward to the post season in comparison to hunting season.

No offense intended, but based on your comment, it sounds like last spring was the first time you took post season scouting seriously. That being said, I think your overwhelming desire will fade once you have another season or two under your belt.

Scouting can be more fun than hunting sometimes, I honestly have a blast when I get out scouting in season or off season.

I have scouted around the house quite a bit, but my new lease I am leaving off limits until season opens up saturday, I am pretty excited about going in blind there and doing some late morning scouting.

All the scouting from last year through spring is going to be a real learning experience hunting this year. Only been out once so far, but will spend tons of time out there as the year goes on.
Scouting after this season will be even more exciting with all the fresh intel. I suspect every year the scouting will be more rewarding; and don't plan on slowing down on it either.
Scout. Learn. Hunt
