If you were scouting a new property on relatively flat land and you only were able to scout the day were were hunting, what area would you check first?
Transition zones
Creek bottoms
The thickest area possible
Open fields
Agriculture fields
Somewhere I didn't mention?

More information would help us help you... is this big woods or farm country, riverbottom or some other type of habitat? A topo and aerial of the property would be most helpful...
The areas you mentioned to look sound like a good start.

I would start at the edge of the agriculture field walk the edge and find a big set of tracks go in about 20 yards and set up an observation stand.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

^^Great starting point.
Are you bow hunting or gun?
I like to go right for the thickest areas if there is any pressure in the area, I don't mean go diving right in them, or even walking the edge but look for rubs/big tracks within 100-200 yards, set up within sight of the thick stuff on that sign to see what's happening because 9 times out of 10 those thick areas are where the action is. Just be very quiet while walking/setting up, act like there is a big buck who can hear you if you make noise...
Just my .02

for some reason my computer won't let me post a picture of the area.. But it's a mix of hardwoods and pines and there is agricultural fields with soybean the borders this property.
it's relatively flat as it doesn't have more than hundred feet of elevation change throughout the hundred acres. however it does have several creeks that run through it
we will bow hunt this property.

Get close to the creek, especially the bends/oxbow and thicker spots. Deer will not only bed on the oxbow but a lot of times they'll use them as crossing points. Just be careful not to get too close and bust em out.
