Re: anyone seeing velvet?
I went shining Sunday night. Saw 9 bucks and they all had most of their velvet on yet. Should be all gone very soon.

I would say 8 of the last 10 bucks I've seen are hard horned. Did find a nice strap of velvet under a fresh rub this weekend, pretty cool find.

Re: anyone seeing velvet?
In my area most have shed there velvet. Last night I saw a 3.5 year old 9 point and he was all hard horned. Things are starting to heat up with all this cooler weather.

Re: anyone seeing velvet?
Sad to say most cameras are not up yet and don't plan on placing them this close to season.
All bucks I have seen are shed. Helped my old man hang his stands this weekend and saw close to a dozen different rubs, more than usual in this area as I used to hunt near him.

90 percent of what I'm seeing spotting is still in velvet. Seen a small one hit on the road completely shed.

Re: anyone seeing velvet?
On Sept 10th shining I saw a group of three 10 pointers. Two had lost all velvet and one still had all its velvet on. Kind of late I think to have velvet still. Also that same night I saw a 2 year old 8 pointer with blood red antlers.
