Not if that predator has a gun in his hand.The only question left, in my mind, is how that bed allows him protection from predators which may approach from downwind. They would be within 80 yards before he saw them. Is that enough distance?

You may not be hunting suburban bucks but I think the more examples you look at the more you're able to identify the logistical reasons for a particular bed.
