Went to see ZAP(pic heavy)

Unread postby lostinstateforest » Sun Apr 13, 2014 2:56 am

I finally found the time to head out west to meet Zap and scout for an upcoming bow hunt in November. Two friends and myself made the 15 hour drive with plans to scout and maybe take a turkey if time allowed. We found a lot of deer sign despite the loss of population due to the drought. We did a lot of scouting on our own and found one spot i consider to be fantastic due to sign and more importantly the entrance. It was amazing to see that Zap could point out Twenty spots from the truck that held more sign than all the spots we found. All in all the trip was definitely a success. Meeting Zap was definitely a pleasure. He is a very straight forward no BS kinda guy and even more than that one of the nicest people i have ever met. He had no problem taking time from his schedule to make sure it fit ours.
