Been a lurker here for a while, decided to join a couple months ago - So I'm pretty new to this new tactic of hunting. Been studying some new public topo maps and my DVD's. Went out today with my 11 year to do a little shed hunting and a little winter scouting to see just what the heck "beast" style is all about. Followed an east/west ridge untill it broke and went downhill to a creek - 1/3 from the top was lots of deer sign...very optomistic at this point.
Then there it was... my first freakin confirmed deer bedding sight!!! I high fived my little guy so hard he said his hand was numb!!
Just like Dan had said - on the end of points, 1/3 from the top. I actually drove right past this spot for the last couple of years thinking who would be "dumb" enough to hunt back there in that crap!! Funny thing is when I sat in the bed I can still see my truck and can see everyway a guy could approach! Very good bed sight - very difficult to hunt - good news is I got a couple more months to figure it out!!
I'll try and put up some pics of our afternoon...

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
