We need pics.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Re: Live From The Workshop
Cool pic. It looks like a great group of guys! Hopefully some of the other guys will add in their Beast handles in as well.
Northlake, you are one tall dude! I wish I had that long stride.
Glorydaysdesign, you are no little guy either. It looks like you could throw fifty pounds of gear on your back and barely even notice it on a long hike to a remote spot.

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

How's that video coming along? I'm getting ants in my pants.
This isn't related to the thread, this smiley just reminds me of the Great Escape.
It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.

Re: Live From The Workshop
I sent a PM to Double Lung to check on the status. He's purebowhunting's buddy that had the camera. They've got a cool video from this past fall on their Facebook page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpiEb6p5lDo#t=13...https://www.facebook.com/upfulldraw

Hey Bigwoodsmn, do you know if that video ever made it on here? Did I miss it?

I know the guy from the upper peninsula took the vid on some serious equipment... Hope he uploads it, although i don't want it to hinder ppl from actually going to the seminar! Seminar is a must..

Re: Live From The Workshop
Jason "Double Lung" from the U.P. wrote this to me --
"...I've attempted a couple times to edit some sort of workshop overview but the audio on the video that I have is pretty brutal; of all the video I took maybe 20% of it would be worth posting/editing. Paul and I figured we would take the workshop again soon and when we do we were hoping Dan would wear a mic. Anyway, sorry again for keeping you all hanging but unfortunately I have nothing that anyone would enjoy..."

Re: Live From The Workshop
Well, that's life. Thanks for checking into it.
It's OK. Unless they are carving my headstone(or Dan decides to not do one) I will be at the scouting workshop this spring.

Re: Live From The Workshop
I was at the seminar with these guys and can say just go to the seminar. Dan does a great job! I've watched countless videos online about how to do things but nothing is the same as being in an area with an expert to dissect all the information. For me, the space around me, the feel of the land, the terrain, the sights and sounds all come together somehow to put together a mental picture of what is good and what is not. You will never get that from a video!
One thing I would suggest is to go to a seminar that occurs when the snow is gone or mostly gone. I just couldn't make it work out with work travel so I had to go when there was still snow on the ground and I think it would be very beneficial to see some of the detail of the beds/trails/terrain when there is no snow.
It also helps if it's not -20°F
