I agree. Just read them myself to refresh my memory with details from some of my scouting trips. 8-)

I just scouted a draw area for Thanksgiving week. On an island at the front entrance area I picked up a 4 pt shed. Maybe a 2 1/2 year old. The areas I have interest in are corn right now. That should keep the deer working where I can get after them. Other guys sound ready for season and I agree.

What is the "orange glove trick"?

I covered some previously scouted spots in Vernon and Crawford counties today. It feels like a slam dunk. Only time will tell.

put a orange glove on a stick at the bucks head level when he is in his bed.............then you can see the bed and pick a tree that is out of his view

Was hoping to get out today with the snow, but one kid with an ear infection who shared the cold she got it from with mom and dad...

I did just have an aerial/topo out for a project for work and my 4 year old asked "where's the deer?"!

Teaching her young, hopefully she doesn't inherit her mom's map reading ability ;)

Got back after it, preparation for the 2015 season starts today! Hit two different areas, three spots total. The bad= boot prints (old) at all three. The good, I know these are high pressured spots and was checking out some goofy "stupid spots" as I call them, spots that are too close to the road, too thick to sit more than 5 ft off the ground, etcs...

Found some promising sign at two of the spots pretty much where I figured it would be, so thats encouraging. These will be added to my weekday after work and/or rainy day stand locations to hopefully minimize the odds of getting messed with by other hunters. Last year opened my eyes to the fact that about 1 out of 10 spots I pick will actually pan out, need to find a bunch more this year.

Almost two and a half miles on new ground yesterday. Spotted nice set of tracks and seen good things.
