Scoutin & fillin Doe tags!

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Fri Nov 29, 2013 3:17 am

Got 3-days to hunt and will carry my .44Mag (for Doe only) along w/ my Bow (Buck or Doe) to fill another tag(s).
OR AT LEAST TRY...!

Figured a little in-season scouting and another chance at the Elusive Whitetail Buck!!!

Green is access points also shown by "Park".
I've had very good luck on the West side of the map along the little strip of swamp and will hunt that Fri/Sat night w/ the proper winds.

Prior to setting up for the afternoon sits I will get some boot soul on the ground and some in-season scouting.
Areas I am isolating are the big block of timber to the East.
Also, the SW corner has a few areas that would be legal distance (300' from dwellings)

Any help is appreciated - thanks in advance for your time...

Ed.... I think your boot soul will provide a divine aura that is unknown to most of us average hunters, and you'll kill another good buck. ;)
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Did you get your gun license?

If so I can get you on an easy trail that could work out...

Exo - This map is unit M

Look at this map closely and you can easily see the old railroad bed going North to South.
This path is a 1.5 miles asphalt trail and accessible from both ends with good parking!
This could be a real great spot as a NH outlet for you in the future too!!!

I can tell you that I've killed 2-Bucks and a Doe less than 1/2 mile of this trail (unfortunately that spot is posted now).
Also, there is an Apple Orchard at the green arrow (still have some apples on the trees)...!

I will be hunting this tomorrow and will look for a good spot to try and get your scooter off trail a bit.

I'll call you early afternoon before going into my evening sit.

Ed,

Saturday mid morning will work for me, just give me a call. I will probably be in the blind by noon tomorrow so I may not hear the phone. If you call while I am out I will give you a call when I am done.

Thanks so much!
