Drove around today hitting a few of my go to spots to see the pressure and was scouting new potential areas. I seen trucks at a lot of the places I dip into for late season as they just get silly during this time of year. Well I happened upon some stuff that looked to good to be true. Decided to hit it for an evening post just concentrating on setting up on fresh sign. Headed in guessing on a doe bedding area and set up on a decent scrape line I found. Soon here come the does...hearing a loud branch break I looked and see just an ear and a massive base of a rack. Wind was decent but he must of caught a whiff as he let out the dreaded blow. He stopped and hung out scanning the area without giving a better glimpse of his headgear. After a few more blows he slowly worked away. A few more does moved by me at last light and I headed out. This area has a lot of potential with the insane amount of managed locked up private that surrounds it. I seen no one around and for a Friday Nov 1st I was impressed. Plenty of acreage to keep bouncing and staying fresh. Was going to hit some familiar stomping grounds and I'm glad I spent the day scouting out new areas as it paid off big time. I still can't believe I stumbled upon this and am pumped to get back in there Sunday and Monday. New unpressured public spots are hard to come by and spending time scouting in the truck and not hunting was well worth it today!

Isn't it awesome? That's one of my favorite parts of tagging early,,driving around checking pressure looking for pockets
Good luck!
