NC Lottery Hunt Help
I have been drawn for a 3 day hunt in a couple of weeks on a federal refuge and will only get to scout on the day prior to the hunt. Any ideas on potential bedding sites to look for on the swamp area I found on aerial (prevailing wind is from SW at this time of year)?

Hunt is over, ended up taking an 18" wide 120" 8 pt, which is great for this public land. He was bedded on a 5' diameter piece of dry ground that was surrounded by water. Found him on Thursday and took him on Friday morning coming back to the bed 2 minutes after legal shooting light.

Wow that is intense! How did you determine where he was bedding? Sounds like you had a solid plan and it worked.

Re: NC Lottery Hunt Help
Sorry about the lack of response... It gets hard to keep up during hunting season.
