Not sure how this is going to be quality wise. This is a state game lands. Its high pressure but big big bucks. Any info on what we see here? This is what I consider lowland and the tracts are small with roads all over. I don't know how to approach this, I am guilty of being a hunter who runs as far as I can from roads and other hunters. I know there are giant deer and lots of hunters. I am going to hit it up this winter, but going in blind where do we start?

I have been taught and seen bucks bed on the contour line 2/3 up the hill. This would be a great place to look for beds.

Just curious what state is this? Lots of hills there.

It looks like in your case the 1400 foot mark is that 2/3 elevation where bucks like to bed.

I agree and generally where I hunt has much more elevation change. I was unsure if the same tactics were the appropriate on this type of land.

Thanks

It looked there were water sources at high elevation. Have you checked those out?

This is just map study. I have never been able to hunt it but will have a shot this year. A friend has seen some monster deer while hunting and I may hunt it blind in November
