Sunshine/Shade buck beds

Unread postby backstraps » Wed Jul 31, 2013 5:37 am

I realize bucks prefer to bed on points that offer multible bed spots so they can move a short distance when the wind shifts.

So have any of y'all noticed a buck moving from a bed due to the amount of sunlight shining or not shining on him during the day?

Possibly him moving beds during a summer midday due to sunlight beaming down on him or even him moving beds during cold winter months to get into the sunlight.

I'll definitely be interested to hear the responses to this. I found a bed in the middle of the swamp that was a small hump with no living trees on it. Am wondering if that is going to be a bed that they use later in the year or whne the sun isn't shining. Would think it would be awfully hot early in the fall when the sun is blazing dowin into the cattails.
