Micro Marsh Scouting

Unread postby MOBIGBUCKS » Tue Apr 16, 2013 2:58 pm

I had a few extra hours today and decided to check out a place I've overlooked for years...The place is a small marsh type area created by a low area next to a cropfield. This isn't a marsh like most of you guys are used to, but it's essentially a Micro Marsh :D

Here is the first bed I found.

Buck's View with good waist high rubs in the vicinity.

There were some does bedding around here as well. Not fooled with all of the other big buck tracks in the vicinity. I guess does like these spots at times too.

Looks good! 8-)

Did you find a good tree to set up in or would it have to be a ground hunt?

One of the old warriors that bedded and died in here. Must have been EHD, he still had some velvet. Not sure what happened to his other side.

All in all it was a good few hours of scouting. I was happy as heck to find what I found. This is a perfect example of an overlooked spot; I still get mad thinking about all of the years I wasted not hunting here!! There are some good bucks moving in the daylight in this area.

Very nice MOBIGBUCKS!
