Sounds like you had a great day out scouting.
I got out for a couple hours in hill country on 4/5. As I got to the property I could see around 30 deer scattered out in the hay fields. Once I got into the woods it was quite evident that the deer wintered on this property this past winter. There were beds and poop EVERYWHERE! I'm going back next week (after Dan's workshop) to see if I can better identify the buck and doe beds, but it looks like it might be tough in some areas of these ridges with all of the fresh sign.
