Yup. The mountain laurel never loses its leaves. Makes it tough for scouting.

Possibility. Birds are always in there. I like hunting turkeys the first few weeks of the season in areas that I want to stomp around and scout for archery season. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
About mid-May, it's too green to see anything though.
