Hi all, I'm quite new to the forum and the Beast style of scouting / hunting. I recently picked up some additional ground to hunt on and would like some input on the areas to focus my scouting and subsequent hunting efforts. The area is old agriculture with many acres of planted pines. This place is loaded with does and fawns, but I haven't seen much in the way of buck sign (no rubs found yet and only one scrape). Any input you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Anthony

That looks like a tough property from the pic and map... I would say if I were to give it a try, the area I think looks the best is the S.E. corner where the trees are sparse. I could see that area getting over looked maybe and a buck holing up down there.

I was afraid you might say that, but am also glad to hear that your thoughts line up with mine. Based on the limited time that I've spent glassing the property, it seems like there is a lot of doe / fawn activity over in the S.E. portion of the property. They seem to be bedding in the trees and brush that are north of the ag field that is visible in the far south of the picture. Th eonly bucks I've seen were two small 1 1/2 year olds near the brown area (plowed portion of the field) to the far east of the picture and another 1 1/2 year old 8 point near the old roadway near the north property line close to the main road. It seems to be a nice chunk of ground for recreational purposes, but it's been difficult to figure out how to hunt it effectively.
