Setting up on wind tunnel

Unread postby backstraps » Tue Oct 16, 2012 1:36 pm

If you are planning on hunting a bedding area on a point that isnt very long and you plan on setting on the tip of the draw off wind of the bedding... I assume you want to get within bow range of the wind tunnel trail (if a trail exist)

If this is extremely close (35 yards) to the bedding area due to the point being so short how would you proceed?

Should I setup say 75 yards or so from the draw on the leeward side? I prefer to have the tip of the draw to help pinch him to me, but dont feel seting up on him so close is something I can do without alerting him or busting him out.

This is not a scenario I am facing, but more or less some hypothetical thinking just in case.
