couple topos please help

Unread postby Matt3 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 5:19 pm

Hey all I am still in Kuwait but I have 29 days to go :D I am extremely excited to get out of here and get into the woods. With that said you all have helped me a ton on one of the other properties that I am going to be hunting. I have studied that info about as much as I can. I want to have a few back up spots and was hoping I could get some help on a couple more topos.

I have marked in PINK where I THINK buck beds MAY be based off the terrain. The RED dots are where bucks in the past have been killed. Being that I will be hunting towards the end of October I may need to start thinking about Rut hunting locations as well. Please give me some ideas on how you think I should approach these areas.

And if you had the choice which area would you try to go to first. I have to draw each zone each day so it is not easy to get the same zone day after day.....

Thanks in advance.
Matt

And if you had the choice which area would you try to go to first.

Look for the area that either has the best bedding for the primary winds in your area, or the unit that the most big bucks come off of.

Thanks Dan. I have gone through and put wind directions and potential access routes. What do you think?
