If youre scouting an East/West ridge...prevailing wind is out of the west...its early season and still warm....the topography looks almost the same off each side of the ridge...
Is there an advantage in hunting the south or the north side?

I would never want the wind carrying my scent parallel with an area I am hunting it cuts down on the direction a buck will come from. On an east/west ridge I would want a south or north wind.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
