I recently found one called CalTopo.com. It has all kinds of overlays plus you can save waypoints and export them to GPS and import from GPS to CalTopo also. Best of all it's free so it's probably my favorite right now. I've played with TopoFusion and like it as well but you have to pay for it to get rid of those annoying "DEMO" blocks right where you are trying to see! First post here so hope somebody finds this info useful. Thanks

Welcome to the Beast Mark! You should go over to the Introduction & Welcome forum and introduce yourself.

I think Caltopo is a favorite of a lot of Beast members. I think this is the third post I have seen on it in the last couple weeks alone. I'm sure it will be posted many times in the future too. It's a good resource. Here is a thread with some additional map sources listed that you may like.

Good basic mapping can be found on G4 Mapping

Dan recommend it to me. Nice topo maps.
