Sunday scout

Unread postby Jackson Marsh » Wed Mar 14, 2012 1:44 pm

I did a little poking around on the local public land on Sunday. Found a couple good looking setups and some nice rubs. I checked on a buck bed I found in December, it doesn't look like it has been used recently. I also found a couple of areas to AVOID!

This guy must be part monkey. He had screw in steps until about 10 feet up, and from what I could tell he must be stepping on branches and limbs to get the rest of the way up this tree. Had to be darn near 30 feet in the air.

Found at the base of the tree. I would hate to try and climb down after drinking 4 or 5 bud lights. Should call it in, I would be afraid for the game warden if he tried to remove this stand, it was crazy high, and using limbs for steps seems crazy to me.

I always like trees I could use limbs to climb, especially if I was using screw in steps. Trees with alot of limbs made for good cover in the stand.

As far as the Bud Lights, I'll pass. I'd be peein all afternoon
