I scout alone unless I am helping a novice out. I scout alone 95% of the time. Even when I go with friends on the same piece, we split up and compare notes in the end.

I scout alone 99% of the time. If I have company I get distracted and feel like I miss some key pieces to the puzzle.

Poisonous snakes, poison ivy, and jello feeling floating clumps of barely solid landmass usually weeds out scouting partners in short order.
