Preview this file with the Google Earth Plugin (learn more)

Open the main folder, go into the KML2GPX folder, you will see KML2GPX with an icon beside it. Double click it, say yes if it promts you.

What this program does is allows you to open a map in google earth, mark it however you see fit. Save it as .kml file extension, open it with this program and convert it to .gpx

This file can then be brought into your gps and you will have all the points you marked in google earth

:)

Enjoy

Oh and btw, cabelas recon has a save as GPX file for those who have gps but dont want recon on their phone. That file can also be opened with google earth. Additionally, recon is now offering Microsoft Bing Imagery as a layer

Great tip thanks for sharing.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

When I open the KML2GPX folder (after unzipping it), I see an .exe file, and another folder named "source code"..

Is this program only for Windows? Because I cant open an .exe file on my computer with anything besides TextEdit, which does nothing for me...

.exe are windows programs... Believe the only way to open them correctly is to have both operating systems on your mac.

Correct, the .exe is only windows. I believe this program is written in c++ from what I can tell. You could run bootcamp, its what we run on our macs in the school.

Dual boot, snow leapord on the mac side, windows 7 professional on the windows side

Sorry I neglected to mention its windows only.

Hey zap... you figure out the paint thing?
