Saturday I went out to hang a cam on a ridge top field and decided to do some in woods investigation further out than I would hunt. I walked out on this point and saw this.
I once hung a stand in that opening based on a gut feeling, then never hunted it. It seemed every time I wanted to go, the creek wasnt at a level I could cross it. Went in two summers ago and pulled that stand mid summer. Big mistake, I was covered in poison on my face.
This spot still lingers in my mind as its a point down into a creek bottom. Combined with the edge habitat. I will hunt it again. I now know of a vantage point that I can watch whats happening without ever stepping foot into it.

Looks like an interesting spot to hunt.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
