Re: New Public Property
Finding beds are what i have trouble with
Here you go...
Pressure will dictate how accurate these buck bedding predictions are...
Timber is my main concern as i am tree stand hunting 95% of the time...
Me too... But a lot of the time its the one lone tree or group of trees away from the woods where the big one gets slayed. Big bucks stay away from areas hunters hang out. And in some cases that is the woods.

Looks good Dan! Thanks a bunch! I am super excited for this land! Went fishing the other day and drove on the edges and seen 15 does! Plus it is 5 times hillier than anything i am used to. Going to be a challenge!

Re: New Public Property
Hey guys I figured I would bring this up to show you what I found yesterday! Felt great to get out and find some sign! There were tracks everywhere but mostly all old/unrecognizable. I found a lot of doe bedding and what seems to be a buck bed. Most of the doe bedding was on the lower 1/3 where they could watch the crop field or on top of the hill.(strange) I tried to topo overlay the map to show bedding with no luck..
Beds in red
Huge crossing in white
Illegal stand in black

Plan on scouting this area more. No hunter sign from after the season. Where would you guys focus? I tried to keep my scouting to the small areas with snow still.
