I'd be inclined to say no, but buck beds aren't my line of expertise. It looks like too much of a platform for a deer to wade over to and climb up on.
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Maybe your right Red Beard, I guess if it's the platform or laying in water, they'll climb on up and lay there.

I would say no. Doesn't resemble anything I typically find.

I would say it is possibly a buck bed, like Red Beard said is there any buck sign in the area? Buck sign doesn't alwasy show up but it sure helps us guys who aren't on Dan's level of scouting to find some beds. I have found plenty of buck beds in similar locations, they aren't alwasy mature bucks but the deer certain use little humps like this for bedding. The lack of cover around the bed might not be ideal for a mature buck but then again if there is plenty of standing water in the area that might be all the protection he needs.

Looks like one to me... There has to be a reason that brush ain't growing in the middle of that clump. It would be much easier to tell without the snow, which is why the majority of my scouting for beds is when there is no snow.

No rubs in the bed. Their is a broken branch on the left side from last year you can see if you look close, and a fresh from this fall broken branch on the right side. Nearest rub I saw was about 50+ yards away. I don't get to concerned if their aren't rubs in the beds. Sometimes their are, sometimes not. How good of a location is more important to me.

I would say it is also... See them all the time around here when coyote hunting the river bottoms.... they are pretty darn tough to get at without alerting the buck since they are usually bedding there when there is water surrounding

I have found plenty of beds like that. If there is a swamp or marsh full of water you would be surprised how deer find these higher dry spots to bed. Surrounded by water I'm sure they feel very safe.
