There are many great trout streams in SW Wis. Most of these streams run thru some of the most breathtaking country you will ever see. Most of this land is private property. Some of the land is open to fishing and these properties are well marked with signs. We have knocked on many doors to ask permission to walk the banks. We have met some of the most friendly people who invite us to fish on their land. Some have commented that most people don't ask and you can tell by their face that they don't like it. Ask and you shall recieve really applies to fishing. Don't ask and we may all lose out. I know where there are 3 real big browns in an undercut bank right in a guys front yard. I'll be dropping a worm in there on opening weekend. Thanks landowners of SW Wis.
