Deep Dark

Unread postby LenH » Tue Sep 24, 2013 6:26 am

Fished with Floren Goestch this morning.

Image

My wife says I can not go way back in boonies anymore alone with the way my back and knee is.

Image

Floren land about 18 browns and me about 15.

Image

Lost a really nice brown above tight to the left bank.

Image

Lost my biggest trout of the year in the mess above.

Will have to give my back and knee a rest if I am going to get out again this year.

Cool pics thanks for sharing.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Any estimate on the size of the lost lunker?

it hunkered down right away and did a power run upstream in to the log jam.
I could not control it.
It felt huge.
Mid 20s. Maybe bigger.

Darn, that would have bee a huge fish.

Will a trout like that be catchable again this year?

Do they move much or are they like a big buck who lives there for a reason?

Using same lure or do you need to change it up now?

season closes a week from today.

Their spawning time is close and they have the itch to move.

If there was another week left I would try it with a different lure.
