what do you think of this plan?

Unread postby swamp-assassin » Fri Sep 16, 2011 5:33 am

This is my plan, the ariael is from a public swamp. to the west is private land, to the east of the fov is private land and to the north is private, so the only acess is about 1.5 miles from the south on a road. this swamp is as thick as it gets. the low "open" spots on the map is a mixture of canary grass, tag alder, red brush and buckthorn with a few smaller black ash trees. the wooded areas and islands are mostly black ash but there a few oaks in there as well especially on the points and islands. i havent scouted this area on foot but i have spent hours formulating a plot here on google earth. this is what ive come down to...right off the point there is a lone tree in the middle of thick nasty on earth. i think that would be a great buck bed with a northeast to east wind. i would need a northeast to hunt it. the green square is around the tree that i think he would use, the white line is my route.http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4384/editedpoint.jpg

Sounds solid to me, if it doesn't work out now don't give up, it might be a killer bedding area later in the year when the pressure it up.
