Hey Lou, do you use a canoe much for hunting? I was kicking the idea around of a scanoe (square back for a motor) for hunting/fishing with the kids. Seems great in theory, till I realize I don't really have a place picked out that I need a boat.

Cant wait to see what you do with it, but would think cat tail beige would be pretty cool.

No, I use my rowboat more, just been wanting to do this for a while. They opened the county property up across the lake just last year, and I have a place where this works better for where I am going.

I didnt think of a camo flame, cool idea. Really I was thinking about smoking it a bit with a slightly diff color.

Looks good Lou!

I cut a stencil for my duck boat out of card boat that looked like 5 blades of marsh grass/cattails and rattle canned over it and it looks pretty slick...its cheap and works nice and you practically lose it in the marsh!

Would like to see that. My neighbor painted up a canoe last year for goose hunting with something like you mention. So I was thinking of doing a little more work on it, but if I dont its better than it was.

You don't quite lose it but pretty close ;)

Some weird kid helped me paint it and insisted we put those stupid little ducks on it...if I did it again I'd leave the duck heads out....here are a couple pics. You should stealth strip the support bars, seats and rails along the side of the canoe that thing would be SNEAKY!!!

Nice job BackWoodsHunter. It looks like you spent some time on it.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Looks Great, and that is a good idea. I was just doing some cutting Friday. The MC2 pattern has the most tans and would probably match the best.
