Hunting White oaks in bedding cover

I have a spot on public that I can get to by walking through about 100yards of cattails. It's a finger of the dry land that goes out into the marsh. It's a high spot loaded with White oaks and surrounded by bedding what would be the time to hunt ? Get in there a couple hours before sunrise for a morning hunt or try to sneak in mid afternoon without spooking everything bedded in that section?

I would say hunt it in the evening just don't get so close to the bedding that you spook the deer. Get to where you can shoot the oaks they will come to to feed when they get up.

I would say evening for sure all times other than rut. During rut, it's a toss up sometimes as far as locating a specific buck. He could be anywhere, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to throw a morning sit at that point during the rut if their are rubs and scrapes on that finger. If the sign is hot, give it a shot.

I believe Dan gets as quietly and as close to the first producing oak tree as he can in the evening depending on conditions and distance from bedding

^^^ It's really close that's why I'm ify on hunting it in the evening the finger is probably 60 yards wides oaks in the middle on the high point and thick on the drop offs of either side where I know a good bucks was bedded last year. Was wondering if anyone else thought the buck would stop to hit the acorns before dropping off high spot to his bed in the morning. If that's the case I'd just get in there super early. Guess I'll just wait to see what the camera says when acorns start falling. Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the help, it'll definitely be an evening spot. Here's a better idea of the spot.
Red is pressure
Green are oaks
Yellow is the path I plan on taking

I'm sure they are but the water hasn't been high enough to get the canoe out to those spots. Definitely want to scout it this summer though

I would say in afternoon. Getting in there early enough for everything to settle down. If they are coming off those high spots? It might be worth getting a little closer but out of sight.
