First Post as a Beast
Hey guys! This is my first forum post, ive been sitting back and reading as many posts and watching and studying as much of Dans youtube content for a couple years now and try to put it to use as much as I can and just saying thanks to everyone on here and hopefully you guys read this. So, a little background about my self is im 26 and have been bowhunting since I was 15 and had gotten introduced to it from a cousin of mine who sold me his hoyt cybertec that he killed a lot of does and small bucks with and I continue to use it to this day here in Michigan. There is probably a few stories I could tie into this whole thing but I will separate those so it doesn't become a bunch of rambling. So i first started hunting public with this menards and gander mountain special
and i would bungie or tie it all together and put it in this hawk deer cart i had attached to my bike I saw a lot of does and small bucks come out of suspected bedding areas but nothing i wanted to haul back 2 0r 3 miles. so I decided to try and set up on a suspected funnel that was coming out of a phragmite ditch screen that separates two poplar swamps with swamp grass and dark peat soil. So , two weeks prior i made a impulsive decision that i wanted my first public lnd buck to be killed off the ground and the first decent 2.5 i was gonna put on the wall. Arund 630pm i heard some thing come crashing thru this ditch screen so i got ready in my blind and a doe comes thru this ditch into the poplars and shes upwind trying to figure out my blind but she gives it an ok walks in front of my where i put a mock rub with a machete and she bolts and as soon as she does (doesn't blow) i hear some crazy crashing and grunting come thru this ditch and up comes this buck. I didn't even look at his rack but he came into to that fake rub and looked pissed and i waited for him to quarter away and got the top of his lungs at 35 yds with a rage 2 blade chisel tip. he bedded 60 yds from where i shot him and i jumped him a couple hours later and he ran probably 2 miles cutting through all phragmite grass bleeding the whole way and me and a couple buddies of mine listened to him crashing and dieng as we were jumping/tracking him. Thanks for reading and thank you to everyone who has contributed anything to this site/cause.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
