Doe bedding

Unread postby Joshua2236 » Thu Nov 15, 2018 7:19 am

This might sound dumb but big bucks are not really my focus. I enjoy just filling my freezer can anyone tell me normal doe bedding. Don’t get me wrong if I see a big buck I will shoot it but either a buck or a doe are fine with me.

Middle of the thickest, nastiest stuff. Bucks use the edges of this thick stuff.

Where I hunt in the bigwoods the does usually bed in the old clear cuts when they get thick and nasty. I've heard people call them "slashings". In the farm county I've been hunting this year I seen a lot of doe bedding in good cover next to food sources. I've also bumped does out of beds in some of the most random places. Along an access trail, in a feild under a pine tree, and even under an old permanent stand.
