Bow only wma...10 min.
Holly Springs national forrest........45 min and another area we hunt is 1 hour

For a half day hunt, 3 hours max for deer, 2 hours max for bear. Will travel much farther for a weekend.

I drive 1-2 hours usually. People at work think I drive far. They don't hunt beast style though.

Being from PA and growing up hunting gun season here and experiencing the pressure, I don't even really bother with public for bowhunting here. I have private spots here really close like 10-25 minutes, but they are not great for chances at mature bucks.

I am planning on a DIY out of state hunt where the drive time is a minimal 6 hour drive. Does make the scouting trips pretty hard to come by ....
