From PA visiting family in Horicon, WI

Unread postby rfickes87 » Sun Dec 04, 2016 3:40 am

Just arrived in Horicon for the weekend. Visiting my wife's family that just moved here. I see there is a huge public March nearby. Anyone from the beast ever do any good here? Just curious, seems like a real nice area here. I may need to come visit again but with the bow next time!!

You can score if you have a boat or canoe and get on the islands.

I'm about 35 minutes from Horicon. I've never hunted the marsh though. I know there is a decent amount of hunting pressure in there so I've always stayed away from it.

Unfortunately I'm out of town (I live only about 40 minutes from there) but that's pretty much Dewey's back yard...

Good luck. A mud motor really helps in getting back to some of those islands. I’ve only duck hunted there, never deer hunted...but I plan too.

I live just north of the marsh but haven't hunted it. I know people have luck, but you gotta work for them.

On the State side you can use a boat. If you try that in the Federal side you will get a nice visit from the Federal warden. ;)

No watercraft of any kind allowed in the Federal. You have to swim to the islands.
