Intresting spot

Unread postby brkissl82 » Tue Nov 01, 2016 1:16 pm

So i found a public land spot that goes pretty much un touched. Its a one hour boat ride to get to its a cattail marsh at a fork in a river with hardwoods bordering the river and cattail marsh. I just found this spot and have not put boots on ground. Only problem is that food is MILES away.is it worth the trek to hunt or wait to scout off season

Food doesn't matter if it's a high pressure area. I've walked almost 2 miles as the crow flies deep into marshes, and the nearest crop fields are probably 2.5 miles away in some places. If there is little to no pressure that deep, that's where the deer will be.

I bet there is more food than you think...dogwood, willow, different grasses etc, only God knows everything a deer eats.
