I have bungee'd some cheap chest waders to my stand a few times. It is worth the effort. I put them on right before I cross and take them off right after. Works pretty slick if you already have pre-scouted and found the best spot to cross.
When hunting wet ground anytime its cold out i am pretty much always wearing my cabelas hip boots. Very under-rated piece of equipment.

Get wet or waders, sometimes the waders strapped to a stand are well worth the extra weight. Unless you hunt warmer temps, really cold weather & hypothermia isn't worth the risk.

A bit off subject but this is why I see so little human sign back in those spots. Just a question.. You dont even see game wardens back there do ya?
