While scouting I came across two large areas of marsh with a nice timber line. My questions is, it is not cat tail marsh. It is more a really tall tan grass that have heads on them similar to wheat or something. I am new to marsh and swamp and trying to figure out the different kinds of swamp and marsh. Any help would be great and post picture of different kinds of grasses and marshes present in WI

Welcome to the hunting beast. I recommend going to the hunting beast store and buying the marsh and hill country dvds asap.

Dan,
Do you read to aerials similar to cat tails? Do bucks bed in this type of marsh similar? I have seen a lot of your videos on reading marshes and been out scouting.
