Are screw in tree pegs legal on public in wisconsin?

I was wondering if screw in tree pegs are legal in wisconsin on public land? If not its fine cuz I have climbing sticks but would prefer pegs for the tree I have chosen. Please let me know if you guys know. I just cant remember. Thanks
