Scout with the bow in hand and stand on back. If the sign is hot, it's worth at least a half day sit.
Don't walk without your bow in hand

Re: How mobile
Its the rut, I wouldn't over think it too much. Find funnels, find food, find does, relate it to possible bedding. Personally, I like to hunt a spot an afternoon then morning and evaluate from there. Don't leave hot action and don't continue to sit cold spots with no activity.
