I can't believe I hadn't thought of milkweed before.... I used to play with the pods as a kid, collecting as many as possible and opening them all at once. about the closest thing to snow we got down here most years. The pods around here are dry and gone, but I will have to remember this for next year.

The public land I've been scouting must not have any beasts. Lots of milkweed around that hasn't been picked. LOL

It's still pretty green in the spots I've checked. Glad I still have plenty from last year.

Ikeman keep your eyes open for milkweed all season. What you found was dried up but I collected some in February. The spot was sheltered from high winds and that's why it was still there. I brought over 15 pods home that day.
