PLO Hunting - tips needed.

Unread postby jshorns » Wed Oct 15, 2014 11:47 pm

Haven't been on here for a while but I saw a post on "Wired to Hunt" Facebook page featuring Dan on their podcast and it stirred my memory. We are PLO (public land only) hunters and really enjoy the challenge of finding and killing deer on public lands - it's the ultimate challenge - no pen deer here. I'm always anxious to learn something new so if you have a tip please share them here and with us on our blog (We have a small blog that focuses on PLO hunting (www.simplehunting.org) and are on FB as well but the FB page is more for fun). We moved to FL. a few years ago and there is lots of public land down here but I will say this - it's the toughest hunting I have ever experienced - makes farm country look like a cake walk. Now I know why they dog hunt in the south - it can be so incredibly thick! Any tips on southern hunting would be especially welcome. Thanks for sharing.
